Jeremy Ayer (Swiss, born 1986) defines his practice as an exploration of image making. He reapproriates himself established photographic genres, by deconstructing and deviating them from the medium’s foundations. He assumes different roles as a photographer which permits him to explore its various premises. He earned a bachelor in photography at the University of Art in Lausanne (ECAL) and a master in fine arts at the University of Arts in Zürich (Zhdk). His work has been awarded at Swiss Photo Award and was exhibited numerous times, notably at Gallery Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris during the Jeune Création show in 2016 and at Photoforum Pasquart in Biel for their Selection award in 2017.
